    Rail problem...

    Hello,

I have a 68 classic, and i have a problem with the rail that the body sits on. The valve assembly doesn't sit in the Z groove right.. It's very loose very very loose.. when i turn down the velocity the whole valve turns so that the "Automag" doesn't line up at all.. I have looked at the Rail and it looks fine, i cannot see where it is warn. It was a used Mag. If you know of anyway for me to fix this problem without getting a new rail, please let me know. I'll have pictures up of what i'm talking about when i get my digital cam back.

    Its not the rail

If the rail looks fine, how about the Z-lock pin? Is it there? Intact?

The pin in the hole inbetween the two oil holes is the z-lock pin hole. Do you have that pin in place?

Yeah check for the pin...but also...put some anti-sieze compound on the velocity adjuster, like white lithium grease. Just a little will keep the adjuster from locking up.

Yeah thats the other option...except those o-rings take millenia to wear out.
