Adjusting Flatline Reg

I was cleaning my flatine reg the other day, and being that it was adjustable, it made me wonder. Since it was set at 750 from AGD (Awesome Godly Dudes) and the internals of the mag regulate the pressure down to like 375 or 400. Would it hurt to have the flatline reg set at like 450-500. Since it takes a little time for the reg to stabalize the pressure..to me it just makes more sense to have the incomming pressure closer to the required operating pressure. (I'm no scholar so correct me if I'm wrong) Would this allow the gun to recharge faster since it wouldn't have to adjust from 750 down to 400, it would be adjusting from 450 down to 400. Am I being foolish for thinking this? Would this possibly cause problems at a high rate of fire since there wouldn't be that 200 psi cusion? I didn't try it...I was too busy thinking wether it would work right or not. Has anyone tried this?

Higher pressures flow at higher velocities. Beyond 650psi or so the system won't recharge any faster, but it won't hurt anything. Just don't put it above 1000psi. At that kind of pressure you're just working the regs. too hard.
