Friends, some trigger shortening techs, please.

I have a dye double trigger on my mag. Any suggestions on how to shorten it and increase my rate of fire?

If you hear a swish, and you look left and right, but you see no one. Then, all the sudden, a bright splash hits you right between the eyes, You'll know one thing for sure. YOU WERE JUST ICED BY THE ICEMAN.

It's about as short as it will be without impeding on the operation of the gun. Just learn how to pull it the right amount without pulling too far each time.

      NOT RECCOMENDED

      BUT
what you can do is adjust teh trigger sear in the grip frame, its the little rod that sits behind the trigger, you canm adjust it by takin of the grip frame then taking it out, then the rod part is able to screw in and out, not be carefull when you put it back in that it is not touching the trigger and that when you swing the trigger you are not touching the rod for a couple of mm

if it is touching the gun will go fully auto

but once again this is not recomended

        in addition to above...

Its a long process...and you may not feel comfortable doing it. You could drill and tap a set screw (small allen screw you can get from the hardware store about 3/16" long) behind your trigger. Then reassemble the trigger frame. This is the lengthy process..(you may have to dis-assemble the frame more than once or twice) Shoot a few times to make sure it operates right.. Pay attention to where the gun fires at in association with where the trigger is. Thats about where you'd want to back the set screw out, to stop the trigger in that position.
The idea is to get the set screw to stop the trigger without excess backward motion. With a mag this may not be possible, it may induce short strokes. I did this on my spyder and it straight up got ppls attention. A spyder running at like 11 bps with a 1/4" trigger pull.

On my mag I have an intelliframe and I can get about 9-10 bps in a burst and can average 6-7 rps consistently through a hopper

Hope this helps in your quest for knowledge

          hahaha

Hey Chris...What did I tell YOU? I told you never to screw with the sear rod and what do you do? You mess with it...Hahaha

Anyways, I don't think it can be any shorter, you could install a trigger stop to help you.

DON'T ADJUST THE SEAR ROD!! Arg, it will ruin the timing of your mag valve. It will lead to leaks, excessive wear, and other problems.
