Low input pressure and short on/off pin?

The RT is less reactive but more consistant with lower input pressures, and it becomes more reactive with a shorter on/off pin. I was wondering if you could use a low input pressure with a short on/off pin to get the best of both worlds. Will it work? Thanks!

I wouldn't use different on/off lengths if the one you have works.

I know all about "If it aint broke, dont fix it." But I want my gun to be a little more consistent and I would like to keep the reactivity. Maybe I'll just pick up a few pins and try it out...

That's probably the way to do it; save the pin you have because you know it works... that way if you file a new pin shorter and it doesn't work, you can just put the old pin back in and be good to go. Also, even a very small decrease in pin length can make a noticible difference in firing, so don't get to overzealous with the file
