Are you sure they have higher flow rate? Because I heard SS are just a macroline type thing on the inside covered by the braided steel.
I personally prefer steel braided because it is tougher and doesn't make your marker feel weak. I don't like how when you have macro you are afraid to get it tangled in anything.
Even according to flow dynamics a member on the board did, even microline can keep up with mags and angels."If everything is under control your not moving fast enough."

steel braided has a slightly better flow rate over the the marcoline.
I believe microline can keep up with angels, but is not recommended for mags due to their higher inputsComment

Macroline flows just fine for any gun. I only use Parker Parflex Macroline. You can get it from Tunaman by PM'ing him. I use SS too, but in some cases macro is better suited.Comment

I use the exact same macroline that Black uses and I love it. Granted that I've only used it once, but it makes disasembly(sp?) easier.Posted by someone talking about cockers shooting further and more accurately:Everytime you break the forum rules, God kills a puppy... please think of the puppies.Plus, I don't want to see a bunch of stupid people running around the field with all sorts of bad info.

I hope by microlines he means macro cause I'm fully against Microline being anywhere near paintball equipment. Especially those running on high input pressures and most of all Co2 that's just a disaster waiting to happen.
So if your comparing ss to micro: I vote SS
If it's SS to macro well then it depends on what you need it for and what your looking for in it.

If you're going to be running at 850 even with Reg'd Nitro get Macro And extra so you can replace it, eventually it will wear out.
And yes you can cut macro to fit whatever length you need.
