Just got my MiniMag, bunch of questions and a few problems. Please help!!!!!!!

Okay, I just got my Mini today, got it used from somebody. Great shape, and I trust him. Anyway, I put on my 20oz Anti-Syphon co2 tank, making sure it was aligned correctly, and let it rip. Dissapointment. If I shoot anywhere over 5 bps (it seems, don't know for sure) I will encounter TERRIBLE shootdown, and the mag makes a funny noise. Anyway, I figured I was just short-stroking the thing so I just kept on shooting. After about... 100 shots or so, the gun froze up altogether, and everytime I fired it would make a very strage, definately not normal noise. So I knew that the gun had just frozen completely. Anyway, the Mini came with a 68/3k steel nitro tank, and I'm just waiting to get it filled. Anyway, I want to know if the shootdown is the valve, or the CO2, becuase the shootdown I'm experiencing is TERRIBLE!!! Any help? Thanks!!

You are freezing it
HPA will fix the problem, by freezing up the marker you could have damaged some of the o-rings, some might need replacing.

Mags hate CO2, you fed it CO2, it misbehaved.

I certainly hope that you do not have a ReTro valve on it, if you do then you just potentially did an awful lot of damage to the valve.

Quiet is right though, even if its a standard AIR valve then you may have ruined some o-rings in the valve. There are many threads on running Mags on CO2, and they can do well on it, if you are willing to set up the gun properly. But if you have a compressed air tank then run that.

Mag on CO2

I personally have never had a Mag that worked well on CO2, and I have owned 16 of them! The one I have now has the ANS Phase II Reg and bolt and it absolutely hates CO2! It does the very same thing you are complaining about! When I use compressed air it works great! Seeing as how you already have the HPA tank, use it! I know that a lot of people say they have no problems with CO2 and their Mag, and that's great for them, but your better off with the compressed air! Good luck!

OK co2 sucks for a mag man. do yourself a favor and use the nitro!!! Im sure you will be very happy once u get the nitro. shootdown will go away. but id replace almost all the o rings to be safe bcz u froze the poo out of the baby. good luck

Well, I just got my nitro tank filled, and the problem is still there. I've got a parts kit, but I just need to know how to take it apart and replace the o-rings. The gun didn't come with a manual or video or anything. Can I get some help here? Thanks!
