I don't know about the short stroking, but you will definatly get more shots for each snap out.

The ReTro valve snaps the trigger back after it's pulled...

So, say it takes one pound of force (SHEER example, I HAVE NO IDEA) to pull the trigger, it will automaticly pop back out at 5 pounds, depending on the input pressure.

Can't really explain it... try to get ahold of one and shoot it... I guarentee it's gotta be the fastest mechanical gun on earth... It's insane, especially once you get experienced with it

Only problem is, I cannot shoot my friend's mag, because I am used to retro!

Since the trigger does kick itself back out it does help prevent shortstroking.

what would happen if you hold down the trigger really hard could you damage the trigger, sear or any thing like that?

I don't see any way you could damage the trigger, sear, trigger rod or any part of the mechanism by pulling the trigger to hard.

Retro valves are supposed to have a faster recharge rate as well so you won't experience shoot down or so I have read but then i have also read that a stock 68 valve can shoot something crazy like 16 bps without shootdown so I don't know why one would need a retro valve to increase rate of fire. I would still like to try one though, it maybe my next upgrade.

What does everyone think, is it worth it?

It takes 4lbs of force to pull the trigger, and the valve pushes back with 8lbs of force. Once you find the "Sweet Spot" of the trigger, you can put out an insane amount of paint. Most of the time you can get 3-4 round burst at a rate of 16+ bps. The biggest problem is keeping your hopper full, and the cost of paint. I've gone through 1/2 case in 10 minutes before.

The feeling is unreal too. When you have the pressure on high and you find the sweet spot it feels awesome. I love it because you can just leave your finger there and let it rip like mad.

                    DEFINATELY worth it .
