CO2 vs. Nitro vs. compressed air

I am trying to decide what kind of AGD gun to get. I'm looking at the minimag, Automag RT, or e-mag. From what I've heard is it true that the RT and e-mag only work with Nitro or Compressed air? And what if I decided to push CO2 through an RT or Nitro system?

What are the pros/cons between the 3?

the RTpro/Emag/ReTro valve are all the same valve....

tring to put co2 through them will only freeze up all the orings very quickly and make your mag useless untill you get a parts kit and change them all out

this is because the co2 is stored in a liquid state in your tank and boils off into a gas as you fire.... ever notice how the more and faster you fire the colder your tank gets... thats the co2 boiling off... get going fast enough and you will suck liquid co2 into the valve and the co2 gas can not warm up fast enough

now hpa, compressed air, nitro, n2..... as far as paintball is concerend they are all the same thing.... they all mean the same thing.... the air you are breathing right now is mostly nitrogen as it is.... and there is no real difference between them....

Aye that he did. Even if you do go w/ a minimag, I & most everyone else around here will recommend running nitro instead of co2.

ok petefol i have to say no one should ever listen to u J/K but seriously never ever try to put Co2 through an RT Retro or an Emag u dont want do do that it says right on the gun no Co2 use only Compressed air(N2,Nitro)it doesnt matter what u put on a Co2 tank u dont want to put in on an RT just for another reason not to it wont feed the gun as fast as it needs it

yah, also it agd specifically says not to run the rt w/ co2. anywayz, if u have the money, buy an emag.

The CO2 is boiling when it comes out of your tank. It is really simple, change the pressure on a substance and you change the boiling point. This means with enough pressure, anything will freeze at room temperature (except water since it expands as it freezes). The tank gets cold because it absorbs heat so it can boil. And CO2 freezes at normal pressure at about -70 C (im canadian) not sure about F.

in any case the best thing you can do for any type of mag is not run it on Co2...
