New Gun Design "Wristshot" or "Sidewinder E-Mag"

This idea lends itself more to looks than functionality, so it may be better suited to another company, but I'll post it here anyway.

The marker would be set up so that the grip, trigger, battery pack, and air tank sat in the center. The Hopper and Warp (required for this to work) would sit off to one side (side depends on handedness), and the Mainbody, Barrel, Bolt etc. would sit on the opposite side.

The Marker would the fire roughly level with your arm and off to the side. This rough rendering should give you a better idea of what I mean:

That would be the left handed model. The trigger would probably have to be electronic, unless someone knows a practical way to go mechanical from that position. I also picture the trigger as a four finger "Plunger" type trigger.

    Thoughts? Flames?

I like the idea, doesn't seem that it would be functional as pictured(No I'm not gonna flame you.. its a decent idea yet I see some flaws) because there doesn't seem to be a way for the bolt and sear to be actuated or Air to get to internals.

Now if you had a smaller half-length tube underneath the internals you show, that would house a horizontally mounted sear solenoid it may work. Looks like it'd be expensive.

The air problem could be fixed by running macro-etc. While I was looking at it.. I thought.. it'd be great for it to work ambidextrous (flip to the right side mid-game!) This way.. shooting around a bunker would be simple. You could incorporate a breech that swiveled 180*. Then you could move the internals over the top of the gun and lock it into place on the right side. Who knows. Nice quick rendering job :)

Thanks, I didn't have time to render air lines etc. so just pretend they are there.

I love the 180 swivel idea.

Tom- if you decide to make this Marker, how about giving me a free prototype?

Otherwise, if anyone who does custom work thinks they can pull it off, let me know.

        Any other thoughts.

              Self Promotion

Forgive the shameless self promotion, but this thread has been viewed over 100 times with only 5 (very appreciated) replies.

Please, if you took the time to check out the idea, take the time to say what you think about it. I'll be grateful for any and all input.

Petefol.. good drawings... It looks like you're trying to stay mechanical with the trigger. Unh unh.. I was thinking maybe the e-mag setup. Then you could use the Solenoid to actuate the sear. It could be as far from the main body as you wanted it. Then you could just route the wire through whatever brcket connected the outer tube with the inner one :)

Maybe they should move this to deep blue!?
