    9 volt revvy question

i got a 4 blade prop and a 12 volt board, but the board has rust in it bridging a connection, therefore the sensor doesnt shut it off, it just runs. while i was fooling around with the 9 volt board i noticed that i can remove a jumper from where the other battery clips would go if it was a 12 volt(follow me?) and put battery contacts there thus running the 9 volt board at 18 volts. other than the fact it is not voltage regulated and will eat batteries does anyone know of any problem with doing this? it looks like it will work fine.

i didn't do exactly that. rather, i soldered the 9v board and just attached another 9v battery. like you said, it runs at 18v now, but i did nothing with the jumpers. give it a shot and get back to us...

how does yours work, good? there are contacts for the other battery clips on the board already, the jumper wire is across them so you have a circuit with one battery. im just gonna remove that wire and slide on the two clips and complete the circuit with another battery.

yeah, that's exactly what i did. For mine, i'm not quite sure if it's pre or post-brass eagle, but there is a delay before the second battery kicks in. in other words, it spins for 1/4 second at the normal 9v speed, then, should it need to continue spinning to supply a continuous flow, the second source of power is added and the prop begins spinning at twice the normal speed.

the whole delay thing, for me, is kind of nice because it doesn't use both batteries all the time especially when both are not needed. However, during high rates of fire when just the first 9v isn't enough, the second starts up. so, all in all, it was a very good mod, i just need to go pick up a four prong prop. good luck
