Hello I am thinking of buying a Automag Classic. I have heard that the Automag doesn't work on CO2 real well and if you run it on CO2,it will eventually screw up.It works on Nitrogen or compressed air.I don't have access to nitrogen or compressed air or the money for it.Well I heard Of the Automag SS Prokit sold by paintballgear.com at http://www.paintballgear.net/autclasprok.html.An Automag specifically setup to run on CO2. Have any of you heard of this kit,and does it really run well on CO2 without eventually screwing up.And is this kit manufactured by Airgun Design or by paintballgear.com.
Need Advice on Automag SS Prokit.

The AutomaG was designed when nitro was just a new idea for paintball. Tom Kaye designed the 'Mag to run on Co2, so to answer your question; yes, the AutomaG will run just fine on Co2
Naturally, it will be more consistant with nitro year 'round, and more reliable in very cold weather too. But if you set it up correctly for your area it will be fine.
Now, to keep liquid Co2 out of your gun, you can go several ways: anti-syphon, slinky remote, anti-syphon with expansion chamber, remote with expansion chamber, anti-syphon with a Palmers Stabilizer, remote with a Palmers Stabilizer. It will depend on where you live. If you are in the desert southwest, an expando may not be needed. If you live in the northwest or northeast where it may or may not get too cold to play, then you may need more expansion capabilities. If you are in the mid-west or Canadian border states, you may need all the expando mods out there during the cold months, this also goes for western Europe too.
Some will say that you will spend as much on Co2 mods as a good nitro set-up. This is true only if nitro is easily available where you live or play. If your field only has Co2, well the arguement is moot. I run my MinimaG on juice too, and very rarely have any problems I can blame on Co2.
Good luck with your gun, and welcome to the AGD family!
