AO: We are back from the dead... again! After an 18 day outage, we are finally alive and well. Who knew how complicated updating software/databases from 2008 would be. I still have alot of tweaks to make, but my main goal was getting everything patched and updated to 2026.
Vbulletin 6 has changed alot since 2008 so we will have a ton of new features to dig into.
for only 25 dollors more than 100, you can pick up a 68 ci, 3000 psi steel tank, or for 80 cucks (20 less) you can pick up a 47 ci 3000 steel tank. whatever you do, dont run co2
MiniMag
Lapco Drop
68 CI Steel 3000 PSI N2 Tank
SP Progressive Barrel
you can run co2 and it will work fine as long as you take all the precautions necesary to keep liquid out of your valve. like junkie said, there's really many methods.

You can also get a palmer stab, which a lot of people run without any problems. YOu could find one used for 70 or 80. If weather is really cold where you live, get an anti-siphon also.
Thanks for the replys. I live in SoCal so liquid shouldn't be a problem. I don't think you really answered my question or you weren't very clear to me at least. The gun I bought doesn't come with anything more then just the gun. I need to buy the hoses and stuff to hook up the gun I believe. I wouldn't mind getting a palmer stab with what I have heard about them but what exactly else would I need?
You can get a bottomline ASA and then get a 13 inch steel hose. I think that it is 13 inches. Well, you run the hose from the ASA to the inlet on your valve. The hose should be curved, and should be in front your trigger, so it is not in the way. That'll cost you about $15-$20.
Automags don't run well on Co2, because you can get liquid in your valve. So, a cheap way to keep it out is to get the angled ASA's, so the tank is partially facing upwards.
I live in SC (not So-Cal, but the real SC) and I still get shootdown with my Tippmann running Co2 on a remote. But, if you insist on running CO2 instead of getting a nitro tank, get a Palmer's stab. and a cheap remote and you shouldn't have any problems.
$70 for a nitro duck, $15 for vert adapter $20 for stainless braid, quick connect, and fittings, youll also need teflon tape for the fittings and youll want to get a drop forward for your tank to better balance your gun later on when you have more cash, but this will get you onto the field for just over $100.
if you dont have any way to refill your nitro tank in between games then youll want to get the co2 tank insted of the nitro, sometime its nessassary to sacrifice performance for the ability to play longer.

You don't even need a vert. adapter, (It won't affect the performance of the gun but it's nice to have a front grip)just a drop foward and an ASA and SS hose. And teflon tape or loctite.
a decent drop forward costs $30-$50, his post specifically asks about a co2 setup wich means he would also need a expansion chamber ($?)or palmer stab. ($70-100)to go with it. the quickest cheepest way to go is to get the vert adapter witch will work with co2 (make sure you keep the tank basically upright at all times and there will be no problems) and is also accetpable for hpa until he can afford to further upgrade his marker.
