    RT Input Pressure

I have an older Automag RT. Currently, I have an adjustable 68 tank, but it is just about out of date and I don't think the regulator is very consistent. I have been looking at getting another tank and have considered a regular fixed output tank (don't have a ton of money to spend on a high end air system).

The body of the marker says input pressures of 600-800. However, most fixed output tanks are around 850. Will that hurt the valve? What is the max input pressure I can use and how will it effect the performance of the marker.

    Thanks for your help.

Normally you can go up to as high a pressure as you want.. I think someone on here was running like 1100 input. 850 will work fine but if its a set output pressure.. you won't be able to tune the reactiveness of the trigger. With an adjustable tank you can turn the input pressure up and down to make the trigger more reactive to your liking. Its just a preference thing. You should be fine with a set tank. Personally, I think you should save up and get an adjustable one But its your budget not mine
