stars?

Uhmmm.. I realize this is a pretty newbie question, but I've only had my RT for a couple weeks. A lot of people have mentioned how many "stars" remain when they talk about their guns. What is that? some sort of wear indicator on the valve?

I don't have the manual. that's why I'm asking.

basically the stars are like a "punch card", as Tom puts it. if you have ANY problem with your marker, you can send it to AGD for a free repair. they will laser off one star per repair.(there are 1 to 4 depending on the marker) if the marker still has the same problem as when you sent it in, you have 30 days to return it to AGD. The punch card program is good up to 3 years after manufacture date.

if/after the stars are all used up, there is a standard parts rebuild fee which covers soft parts and ground shipping. Hard parts replacement requires an additional fee.
