help: intellifeeding and emag with a revvy

after about 10 people looked at my post on the tech forum without any sort of response, i decided maybe it was more complicated that i thought, and brang it here.

how do you connect your emag to a revvy hopper? i read the intelliframe to revvy, and it was very helpful, and i also read robagd.com's revvy emag hack, but it was messy and somewhat confusing as well as it didnt clearly explain where to connect the wires to the emag even though it did with the hopper. can i connect it to my hopper like in the intelliframe manual or doesit need to be connected differently because it is an emag, and where do you connect the wires to the emag (ie. battery terminals, or splice one of the wires in the circut board and the other on the battery terminal, or wahtever)?

please help, I would like to be able to complete this by monday so i can play with it.

    thanks
    tommy

    hmmm...

lemme think here. i would suspect you could use the warp interface jack. take it, and bring the positive lead (red) to the white lead off of the eye for the revvy (white is signal). umm, you have to do that, and somehow ground it back to the emag (you cant ground to the revvy, it wont work). maybe someone else can help a bit more.

that might work, i dont know what the warp interface jack is though, is there a picture with it labeled or can you explain what and or where it is?

          i dunno...

i dont have a mag, but i read alot. find the tutorial for interfacing an emag and a warp. it should show there. i know they sell a plug and play adaptor in the online store.

Dude - I explain where you hook your wires for powering the Revy off the emag very clearly, you tapping the power off the Power + post in the grip frame ( huge picture ) and then your grounding the power wire in the grip frame on the screw that holds the pcb in place and ground that. Again huge picture with text. 9v snaps ect.. ring any bells ?

If you are looking to link the Revy and Emag you need to do some more work. You need to get a Reed Relay, and solder up some 3/32 Jack and 3/32 phone plugs. You use the 5v Emag Warp signal to trigger the reed relay and turn the revy on. You leave the 2 9v's in the revy and tap into its wires and when the emag send a signal it turns the revy on.

You need the reed relay to keep voltage from back feeding in to the gun.

                  thanks

sorry i must have missed that part of the text was really just skimming over it at the time because it was just a power hack, i AM looking to likt eh mag with the revvy, and you explaination was very helpful but i dont know what a reed relay is or where i can get one

                  thanks again

Uh oh.. just a disclaimer.. we're not responsible if you fry your board

You can get a reed relay from some radio shack dealers. Not all of them carry every product so you should call around. Maybe jump on their website... tell ya what.. I did for ya

There ya go.. BTW.. please remove all power sources from the circuits in which you work with. In other words.. take batteries out of eveything!
