DYE Alum. or Stainless?

Whats the difference in performance between the DYE stainless steel and the aluminum? Or is there even a difference? Also while I'm at it, whats the other little differences between them (besides weight)?

Stainless is much heavier. It is also more durable. As far as accuracy, they are pretty much the same.

They recently discontinued the aluminum, so stores are selling them cheaply, like $50.

Why did they discontinue them? Did they replace them with the Ultralite model?

yeah, i think the ultralite is gonna replace them. i have the dye aluminum and i love it. got mine new for like 45 on ebay. alot of places are blowing them out.
