    New valve....

    okay heres the deal...

    Ive got an old autmag 68 valve formly a feild rental (it just has feild rental ingraved on the side), and is fairly loud. A friend at the feild said "go with the z-valve, its as close to an Rt you can get, and its cheap $42!" i dont no if this is true, whats your opinion? And should i just wait and get an Retro valve? What really bothers me is that my gun is so loud...its on N2 and its got a new parts kit, aluminum barrel, and the bolt is in good condition, so i cant think of any reason why it is loud. so i just want a new valve.

              Highly recommend the Retro Valve. It scares me whenever people go out and buy aftermarket internals for the Mag.

                  Save your money, the Z-valve does nothing for your gun and certainly does not make it go "retro".

                  Loud is subjective. What is loud next to your face may be rather quiet downrange. I like a loud gun, it scares people!

                      I don't care how loud my gun is. I wish my gun played Flight of the Valkyries every time I shot it.

                          Curt from the Tinkers Guild and also a member of this forum will make you a program like that if you can come up with the $$$. Some other guys requested something similiar to that. I'm thinking it will only cost 50 bucks or so if the only thing the board will be doing is playing the song while you fire.

                              well see the loud didnt bother me until:

                              a) some one said "you stay in back your gun is to" during a senerio when we were trying to get the general. this made a single tear roll down my eye.

                              b) when i was in the bushes and fired at some one missed and the unloaded on the bush were they heard the sound...they couldnt see me just heard the sound. while a guy with a quite mag could of easily got more shots of with making little sound.

                              now a valve exchange question:
                              My serial # is over 30000 but sense my valve says feild rental on the side can my valve still be sent in for an exchange?
