    Mini-mag Stock barrels

Is there anything i can do as a minimag owner to get a better stock barrel? I think for buying a gun the next step up from an automag there should be a better barrel. The Motto of airgun designs is "Shoots Straight Always!"

Well with this barrel it doesn't

    Thanks

Mine shoots straight as an arrow, seriously. i like it, its like a little shotgun, its so loud and scares the hell out of my opponents when I play speedball. I've been using mine for almost 6 years (along with a smart parts 14") and love it. Maybe something is wrong with yours or you have a reg problem and too much pressure is coming through the gun.

Check for a proper barrel/paint fit and make sure that your velocity is consistent. If not, replace your reg. seat. It's just a tube of metal like all other barrels. It will shoot fine if your paint is good and the velocity is consistent. Also, make sure you're shooting around 280fps for the best velocity consistency.

Mine has a scratch down the inside of it, and it still shoots fine. udtseal is right, they're loud as heck, but I haven't had any problems.

Try shooting Marbs. The bore is small/medium and Marbs just shoot like darts out of mine. I, too, like the loud bang from the 8" barrel on my MinimaG, it makes other players wonder what you really have

A couple of weeks ago I finished off a box of old PMI that I got for Christmas 2000. I found them under a pile in my storage shed. I took them to work with me and started shooting them from the 12"AA because I could not blow them out of the AGD. Well, just for S&G, I shot the AGD too just to see if they would. Well dang if they didn't fire out of there with an attitude! Straight, fast, and hardly any breaks against the big dumpster (about 100') since they were so dried out

Use small/medium paint and you shouldn't have any more trouble

thats weird, my friends minimag barrel is large bore, its fits brass eagle paint almost perfectly...

and it is a accurate barrel, and it doesnt seem to be that loud either...
            -mag
            -cocker
