I know that this is a stupid ? but will a frame that is on a minimag work and fit on a automag rt.

No.
A frame designed to fit a Minimag/Automag will not work on an RT because of the diffences between the field strip screw and the gas-thru banjo bolt.
This is assuming two things however. The frame on the mini might be an old RT frame with a spacer to make the hole smaller (most common with z grips). Also, if you are talking about an RTPro instead of an RT, it will work fine as the RTPro uses standard mag frames.
