Not much "bounce" on my RT Pro....

    Hello,

I just got a new RT Pro with the new .45 grip from AGD. I have a pre-set crossfire 68ci 3k tank that I'm useing on it. I think the tank is preset 750 out. I do have to correct myself. There is bounce, just I can't seam to find the much talked about "sweet spot." Do I have to just keep trying. I've tryed the rt for the tippmann, and can hit that very easily. I don't have any in line obstructions. Just strait from the asa to the valve in macro line. Any help would be.....well....helpfull.

    Thanks

Welp, it sounds like you're trying to get your RT Pro to go full auto. And...it sounds like your gun is working just fine. If you can go full auto on your RT Pro, then something's wrong with your gun. You're not supposed to be able to go full auto or 'sweet spot' it.

I know how to get your gun to go full auto, as do many others here on AO, but I'm not gonna tell you how to. You'll just end up having to buy a new bolt and sear really really soon after your gun starts going full auto. Not to mention that you'll chop lots of paint.

Full auto on an RT/RT Pro is a malfunction, not a feature. Though it does still sound real cool.

hehe..i have the opposite happening to me

hey guys, i just bought a new (used) RT, and the trigger is REALLY responsive! i have a crossfire tank at 850 (?) psi. i have only shot it for about a half hour, and didnt ever attach my hopper to it cause some loser took my elbow, and i havent made the trip into town to get a new one...so i havent ever tried shooting long strings of paint, but the sweet sopt is WAY to easy to find...is this bad? i can control my shooting if i want to, but i really have to concentrate on pulling the trigger PAST the sweet spot and then all the way back through on the way back. i was thinking maybe the guy who had the gun before me had fooled around with the gun and made it go "full auto" easier? is there a way i can reverse this? i have an older RT, so maybe the trigger is just really well broken in...? I thought the "sweet spot" thing was really cool, but i dont want to be chopping every ball that i shoot, which is what i think will be happening....anyway, thanks for all your help, and is there anything i should/ can do?

        House,

I think its because the output pressure is so low on your tank. 750 will make it semi-reactive. The higher the input pressure the more bounce the trigger will have. I've seen people running as low as 700(feathery) up to 1100(like breaking a twig). It depends on taste and tank.

Crossfire is preset to 800-850. I was in a local store once and this dude pulled out his RT for me and he shot it at a ROF which I swear was 16 or 17 balls a second. If that isn't full-auto I dont know what is becuase I just can't imagine a gun firing faster than it was. I think it could even be as fast as 18 or 19 a second but that seems rediculously fast so I think 16 or 17 is more possible.

I have a pretty good idea on how to make your gun full auto and that would require some tweaking (and it definetly isnt a good idea) so I dont think the guy who previously owned the gun did that. You would need a bolt real soon, like 2 or 3 cases.
