    MiniMag Trigger......

Alright I'm playing paintball almost every weekend with a off the shelf minimag for about 1 month(so i can save up for some cool goodies) well, Now that i have my goodies, 12' boomstick dye sticky grips and a dye .45 frame and a drop forward.... i have problems....

I have the trigger frame and everything set up on my gun and played a round today on an out door field. I have not yet found a trigger thet will work with my dye .45 frame(single). I was wondering if u guys have any reccoments on what WILL work. I get gass leaks from i think the on/off pin area on slow pull backs with my current trigger(Off the shelf trigger.. Standard) that i did not have before i got my new frame and so on. So, a recomend on shortening the trigger pull to stop the leake or a new trigger that is compatible with a dye .45 single trigger frame would also work.

I also experianced 4 breaks today with my new boomstick(.684) with midnight paint(very ****ty might be the cause). Which is better... the faomie bolts or the new ones with the duron/duran w/e covers would help or is it just the paint. They were not choped, no splatters up into the elbo or feed tube.

    Thnx James

I checked it over today, took EVERYTHING apart and put it all together with my extra parts. I got the leake taken care of, lengthening the pin that pushes the trigger out i think solved it. I unscewed it out about 1 1/2- 2 milimeters to shorten the pull. I also shaved some of the top part of the plastic trigger down so it would preject further out. But im still looking for a new metal trigger.

There's your problem right there, you should never mess with the length of the trigger rod, especially in order to shorten the pull (it doesn't work that way)... Do a search and you'll find debate after debate but they always end in "DONT MESS WITH IT"

The one exception is when you are having trouble with the way it's running before you mess with it. New frames, off spacers etc are usually the culprits.

        K I'm done lecturing

[EDIT: I decided to be a little more clear]

First the easy one. If you are having barrel breaks then its your paint/barrel match. Try a paint that is close to your barrel size. The hard one is a little more difficult. I used to get the same thing with the stock trigger and frame. I think that your releasing the bolt a little and not closing the ON/OFF assy. with the slow pull. Your ON/OFF pin might be a little off. You might have a worn sear assy. also. If you adjusted the sear length and got it working fine then leave it. I adjusted mine on the advice of BlackVCG. It worked great.
