I use it, but it does have problems

I think the biggest problem is when liquid gets into the gun, which happens when the CO2 is cold, or if there is not an anti-siphon tube in your tank. I've heard a lot of stories about when this happens - most of them bad and involving gun damage.

Personally, I've played with a CO2 setup for a 9 years - but not frequently. I have an 4.5oz expansion bottle fitted to the front of the mag, which helps prevent liquid problems.

If you are using it for recreational play, and have an anti-siphon system, you should be fine. However, if you play regularly, you should definitely consider air.

    Hope this helps.

co2 is just not worth it. Get cheap nitro and a gas efficient barrel like a lapco and you'l be fine. Co2 just makes the mag perform to 50% of it's potential, and it ruins your seals slowly but surely.
If your dedicated enough to playing to get an automag, then you should care enough to run compressed air.

Poo, there is nothing wrong with Co2 in a 'Mag. It is not "harder" on seals, though you do need to clean your gun more often.

I've run my Minimag on juice since I got it 5 years ago, I have yet to change an O-ring in it.

i'll sell you a PMI 47ci if ya want for $50 shipped if ya want. It's much better then dealing with installing thingys. That will not increase the recharge rate of co2 anyway.

hey, is it 3000 psi? it runs around 500 shots, right. but yea, im interested. i also see ur selling that 88ci on the air forums, how much would u sell that to me for. and if u dont wana sell the 88ci, u got anything bigger than 47ci? if not, ill more than likely take that 47 ci off ur hands

500 is minimum on a 47ci. With a good setup (ie a lapco barrel, anything with little porting) you can get 600-900 shots, depending on your velocity and temperature. For example, on a day of 65 degrees, with a stock minimag barrel, shooting marbs at 280fps, i can get 800 shots of a good fill.
The 88 is sold, this 47 is coming later this week, and i'll have a PMI reg installed, and then if you want it, it's yours. I see you've been searching for a while, you deserve this tank!

I use it with absolutely no problems. I go out and rip as fast as I can and I only get a little amount of drop off- no freeze ups or seal breaks. I shoot in 70-90 degree weater mainly. I really do not see how you will freeze the valve unless you A) live in the arctic. or B) point your gun at hte ground and fire as fast as you can. I say this becuase the liquid in the tank will go down your gasline and directly into your valve. The internal reg can stop it that good. No I myself keep my gun fairly level throughout playing. Never had a problem.

Get the air america melee, its cheap (130 @ pbgear.com) and it has nice fast recharge rate. And you can rapid fire with co2 on a mag if you live in cold weather areas...bad things happen.
