air systems..some questions ( dual reg / adj)

    Hey guys.

Been looking through the forums for some posts on this subject with no findings.

I would get a 4500 68ci crossire if i wasnt looking into getting the RETRO as well. to my knowledge you need a dual regulated tank (adj) for the RETRO, correct?

would a THOR regulator solve the problem presented above? i am fairly sure a normal inline reg wont solve the problem because they bring pressure down for the most part and the RT needs more air, not less.

so, if the THOR doesn work, and the crossfire wont work by itself with the RT, what do i do. I only wanna spend like 250 on a tank, cause i will end up getting level 10 as well.

this brings me to the flatline system. it is fairly cheap compared to others. how is it performance wise?

are there any other adjustables worth looking into?

    thanks

For the 250 range, your prolly looking at a flatline. The thor will work with any preset tank though. Only thing is the flatline will let you go up to around 900psi whereas the presets are mostly all set at 800psi.

I would recommend the Flatline, because it's the most economical way to go. You can't get too many adjustable tanks for $250. But then again, I just shelled out $420 for a blue anno Max-Flo.

If you can afford it, it's the way to go. However on a limited budget, I would prolly go either flatline, or just an adj. tank, no THOR. The only reason to get a THOR is to regulate it down, and you would only want that if you want the trigger lighter (less pressure on the pin down=less pressure on the pin up), or if you wanted it less reactive.
Once you have shot and eliminated someone, you have established your position towards them. In a sense, the next move is up to them...

See ya in the dead box!

a crossfire tank will work with the retro....... there is no need to get a dual reg'ed tank just remember the the back hlaf of all mags weather retro or orignal, is a reg....

the only thing you might encounter with that tank is shootdown at high rates of sustained fire.... but others on here use that tank and have had no real complaints....

also the crossfire is a fixed output tank... meanin you would be unable to adjust the reactivity of the trigger..... some do find it to offer plenty of kick for their liking.... the advantage of and adj tank would be that it would allow you to turn the input pressure up into the valveto get the trigger to kick back harder.... (this is what i do... i put a little of 1000psi into my valve)....

also adding an inline reg between the hpa tank reg and the mag valve can cause flow problems resulting in shootdown and most here would advise against it
