If i turn my air on fast it leaks down the barrell, if i do it slow it will normally work right. Is that how it is surposed to be?

Not really... put the gun in hybrid mode (manual) and hold the trigger while gassing it up. This should prevent leake from the bolt not catching the sear when airing up.
