    retro valve input pressure?

    Hey,

    I've had a MicroRT for about 3 years now, but just purchased a Smart Parts MaxFlow nitrogen system and for the first time I can actually see what the output pressure of my tank is (as opposed to guestimating that my Raptor was putting out around 900-1000psi when the trigger started running away from me). I was wondering, what is the recommended input pressure on the retro valve? I know 650 is the minimum, I guess my question is what is the maximum. I was toying around with it last night @ 800psi and chopped my third ball EVER in the gun (yes, I short-stroked it). Is it safe to approach 1000psi in to the retro-valve? Thanks.

      The valve is rated to 3000 psi. It can handle it.

          I guess I wasn't specific. I know the valve can, I guess my question was more of: "What pressure should I stay below to reduce the risk of destroying my sear." Maybe this is just a trial and error thing, I could keep upping the pressure until my mag freaks the f#@% out and then keep it just below there.

              Try it at 800. Then test it and move from there. You wont do any damage to the sear. It might wear a little faster, but that would be due to you shooting faster.

                      i've been running 1k into mine for a while now with now sign of wear on the sear.....

                      once i get my scuba filled again and once its down to 2-2.5k i gonna hook it up directly just to see what the kickback is like on the trigger =)
