Hows the Armson Pro on a minimag?

its the only 10" barrel i could find and i was wondering hwo well it works. I hear its rifled which sorta scares me away but id like another opinion thx.

well there are many other barrels in 10 inch just to let you know. JJ 2 piece the freak boomy dye SS, Aluminum. Just thought i would let you know.

Armson BLOWS

I'm not trying to start a fight or anything, and I only used on when i had a Piranha, but CRiZO, i agree with you, they are horrible. For your money, get a teardrop for 40, then take the other money (don't know what they cost) and get something else. Or get and AA. BUT PLEASE DON'T GET AN ARMSON. Armson can't really make anything well, they make crappy barrels, an expensive shiny cocker, and gogle, barrel, etc. cleaner. Sigh, too bad.

agreed, there are other much nicer 10" barrels out there. I do like the stock barrel, but other then that custom products makes sweet 10inchers and in many colors so you can match it to your gun.
If you don't mind the extra inch get a Lapco autospirit, or if you shoot larger paint, a lapco bigshot. These are excellent barrels that in studies have proven the most accurate and also very efficient. I can get 1000 shots with my lapco and 68 3K.

the lapco bigshot and autospirit are very very good barrels in every aspect, accuracy, range, wieght, and are the most efficient. The two barrels are exactly the same except for bore size. The bigshot is a little larger. I got both so i can match. If you shot marbs, diablo paint, proball, etc. then autospirit is a great choice. If you shoot more zap of team colors etc, get the big shot. There are some people selling them on the forums, take a look

Well, your local store should be willing to put a 10" freak tip on an AA, as teh AA & Freak tips cost them the same. Other good 10" barrels are the old DYE SS and Aluminum barrels if you can find them, or Lapco's or J&J 2-pieces.

I'm no fan of the Armson's, they're impossible to clean on the field, and only of middling performance.

I feel special.

My armson performed wonderful. The very rare occassions I broke (this is on a tippmann BTW)..it was the easiest barrel to clean...JUST SHOOT THRU IT, THEN DRY FIRE A COUPLE TIMES. Wahoo. It's range wasn't the greatest, but in for a front speedball player, its accuracy is great if you find good paint for it.

why do some people still think the length of the barrel effects the amount of range you get? and why do people praise a barrel for being accurate when it's the paint to bore size match that is important? take your "accurate" small bore barrel and fire big bore paint then tell me if its still "accurate".
