    Mag chops balls

My 68 mag classic chops balls constantly and won't fire at all. Everytime i pull the trigger the air makes a pbbht! sound and the ball is chopped. A while ago a gun mechanic at a field told me i could pour water directly into the bolt to clean it out. Could this be the cause of my problems because since that game my gun has been broke. Plz help!

first do the basic, take apart the valve and clean everything, oil it, check the o rings and put it back together. dry fire it to make sure it sounds ok, then run some paint through it to see what's up, it it still chops, give us an update and we'll take it from there

(you can shoot your gun underwater to clean it but you don't leave the water in there, afterwards, you do what I said)

A note: Make sure the marker's pressurized when you run water over it/submerge it in water. It makes sure that the seals are set and keeps water out of the places it shouldn't be.
