    vertical adapter

How do I install a vertical adapter? I see the place where the screw should go but it is blocked. Do I need to drill through that so that I can put the screw in?

You need to drill that area out. You could just knock it out with a screw driver,it's that easy.
I have a ? on my vertical adapter.....It didn't come with a mounting screw. Should it of. I went to a hardware store and they didn't have a screw that would fit. I checked EVERYTHING that came in the package a million times and checked to see if I dropped it and It isn't there.
