accuracy

Does anyone know how accurate the emags are?
i know with the right barrels and paint, they tell me its accurate. but how accurate? did anyone ever test
the accuracy of the marker. what kind of groupings you get at 25 ft and 50 ft. rof is good but accuracy is a plus.

i'm trying to decide what kind of marker to get. leaning towards an eMag or Matrix.

Accuracy comes from consistency. Mags/EMags are very consistent... and RTP's/EMags are very consistent at really high bps.

As good as any other.

Oh god please dont get a Matrix. An 88ci 4500 psi tank only gets 1250 shots...that is <B>bad</B> if you ask me (for effiecency).

i know the mags r consistant but when you have that one shot one kill advantage, imagine a string of shots and 1 kill in a 3 inch diameter @ 50 ft !!! kewl!!!

Bah. I disagree with the way they do their 'accuracy' tests. Meaningless I'd say. Want an accuracy test? Put your gun over the chrono.

Well they do both, would you prefer that they chrono'd while doing an accuracy test?

Because for as long as I can remember they clamp it down lay on some paint and then later on hook it up with a chrono for some shot-shot... what's wrong with that?

I disagree with any single acuracy test out there...I believe that if you can shoot a gun in a game accurately then that defines accuracy. Sure the gun can be accurate, but throw it in the hands of a 10 year old and the gun suddenly becomes horribly innacurate. If you are a good marksman you can compensate for things like gravity, target movement, and recoil(which can be eliminated also with the new LVL10, or those who have superbolt-1s). When you put a gun in a vice(sp?) to eliminate recoil, aiming it at a still target that is only 75feet away, you right then and there eliminate the 3 aspects(that I mentioned) of aiming a paintball gun in a game. I dont think tests like that tell you anything.

I can understand that, but if the marker is so inaccurate that even clamped down every other shot is flying back at you (exaggeration, big time) or just the paint is corkscrewing or hanging left (we've all seen it, maybe bad paint, bad match or poor barrel/gun) and it can't land two shots in the same place what good would testing it under the other conditions be? I know that a good shooter can compensate for its weaknesses but many people can't.

Take a rifle hand it to a kid who can't shoot and they'll do no better with a snubbed .38 on the range, but we all know inheirently the rifle has better accuracy than that .38... So behind it maybe it does prove something, like how the gun can do on its own without the person's help.

(back to paintball) There is no actual gun out there that is more accurate, just some have more quality stock barrels and better consistency... Things that "aiming well" won't ever help.
