LVL10 question [not asked or answered yet] for TomK

Ok since the bolt initially is moving at a speed of 4mph +/- 1, the balls in the powerfeed are much less likely to bobble around. This is really good for centerfeed, and standard feed, but what about powerfeed? Powerfeed utilizes this blowback of air into the feed tube and uses it to bounce balls off the powerfeed plug, therefore pushing the balls into the gun faster. So correct me if im wrong, but if we eliminate that blow of air into the feed tube (of a powerfeed) won't that slow down our feed rates without an agitated feeder?

Nope. Extended nose bolt already reduced blowback to insignificant... and works fine.

If the outer sleeve of the bolt is the same length as the center triangular piece, then you have the new bolt. If the sleeve is shorter, then you have the old bolt.

All mags made in the last 2 years should have long-nose bolts, BalckVCG's directions are correct for identifying the bolt.
