Bolt Sticking?? Someone help. Mag noob.

    Ok, here is the deal.

I am borrowing my friends mag to play with, and when i get home, I put on a tank and when i fire it starts shooting air out the front like MADD. Well, I turned down the velocity so that it won't use so much air. The bolt is still sticking. I tryed oiling the spring, the metal part the bolt goes on, the actual bolt, everything. Anyone know why? I have to push the bolt back with a squeege to get it to recock.

You need to swap out your power tube spacer. Leaking out the barrel indicates you need a longer one, but bolt stick indicates you need a shorter one. The variance may be related to changing the input pressure. Pick up a spacer kit & go to it. There are a bunch of posts around here concerning power tube spacers...

Actually Codejockey...you have it backwards. If the gun leaks down the barrel.. put the next shorter spacer in it. What that does is allows the o-ring to expand a little more and make a tighter seal around the base of the bolt stem. If the bolt sticks (out or in) is because the oring is to tight and won't allow the bolt to either move forward or..re-seal. You'd install a longer spacer to move the o-ring further down the stem.. allowing the bolt to maintain a good seal while the sear holds it back.(Leaks down barrel=needs shorter spacer. Bolt Stick=Need longer spacer Out of agd's manual)

If this doesn't fix it.. try replacing the to lower pt o-ring (its below the spacer) You'll need a dental pick or a modified paperclip to get it out. That should get you going..if not.. heres a link to the online manual.. lok on pages 11-13 thats the flowcharts for diagnosing problems.

Doh! I guess I'm directionally dyslexic...

I think I covered my bases w/the 'buy a spacer kit', though...

BTW, theres never anyneed to oil the bolt or spring. It just makes more of a mess when you take your valve out.
