Leak down barrel, I've tried everything...

I've got a minimag with a bad leak down the barrel. I think my minimag may be unique in that the powertube screws into the airchamber, whereas, most are welded onto the air chamber.

It does not leak down the barrel when I have the trigger pulled. I have tried a new powertube o-ring, a smaller powertube space, a larger powertube space, a new power tube tip, a new bolt o-ring, a new bolt, etc, etc. Nothing seems to fix this problem. If I pull the trigger is will fire and recock, while leaking severly the whole time. I have examined the bottom of the powertube very carefully and there are no cracks. The only thing I can think of is that it might be leaking where the powertube screws into the airchamber. But I'm outta air, so I'll have to work on that another time.

Am I missing something really obvious?

When you say the powertube screws into the air-chamber? Sounds like that may be a level6. I'd call AGD since you've tried basically everything. Have you tried the shortest spacer available to you? Have you tried a different bolt? The edge of the bolt where the sear catches may not have enough "meat" left to adequately seal the bolt stem. Those are the only two things I could htink of to do. Seems you've done everything I would have tried.

      I was reading...

On airgun.com it says that every minimag is a level 7. This minimag is 2.5 years old. I tried the smallest spacer and the largest with no luck. I'll try AGD on Monday. Hey, how long does it take to get your gun back if you send it in to use a star? Luckily, this marker has 4 stars currently.

It really varies depending on how many repairs are being processed at the time when yours is received..and what all needs to be done to fix it. They'll be open on monday.. maybe TK will get on here and be able to give you some more specific answers. Make sure the Serial number on your valve (front half) and the serial number on the REG (back half) match.

Yeah, I read most the rules...

I think I'm good on all the rules for sending it in except for two things:

My powerfeed tube tip threads are pretty worn out, not quit stripped though. Should I replace this part before I send it in?

Also, in my on/off valve, I think there is an aftermarket part. There part that the air flows through is this little silver colored part which doesn't look anything like the factory on/off valve parts that I have seen. Should I buy the factory piece before I send it in?

If I didn't already mention it, I bought this marker used the other day.
