I'm having some problems with my Lvl 10 mod. I can get the longest spring to be able to fire. Unfortunately I do not have access to a chrony at this time, nor will I tommorrow I don't think. From what I can see of firing it and the pressure I feel when I put my hand in front of the barrel it feels like it's at least close to a good 270. I have been firing it long enough to realize about what it feels like.
However, to get it to fire on the longest spring I had to up my operating pressure extremely higher, I usually use only like 600psi, but now just to get it to fire I need more like 800psi-900psi.
I'm using a Max-Flo system on a Minimag. If you needed that info. 2 shims, and the 2 band carrier, however the 2 band carrier fits VERY snug, and all the rest are either way too tight, or way too loose. None of the others seem to fit the same. The 2 band one is very snug, however the
3 band easily slides off
When I gas it up, no leaks. I pull the trigger and hold it, it will leak for a second, then stop. hrm, trying to think of other things, oh if you turn the velocity nut up anymore than it is, the pressure is too high and it starts to bleed off the air. I think that's all.
Now my problem is, a.) I don't have a chrony to use quite yet so I'm not totally sure where it's firing in, but rather more important right now is b.) I did the tape/ball trick that Tom did in the video, well it worked, it didn't chop the ball, but it did however after a few times crack the seam enough for paint to drip out. Now I think this might just be because it was done to the same ball a couple of times, but I would rather be sure. Any help on finding out if this is the right carrier, or anything on slowing the bolt maybe? The goal was to use the longest spring right?
Thanks AO, and let me tell you, lvl 10 definetly works. It just does need some tuning.
