    That's the two things that I didn't do. i didn't keep the paper wet and I didn't sand in different directions with each grit. I'll do those things now and see how it comes out.

      I don't know what I started out with I think 400 grit and ended with 1500. It turned out pretty sweet. I suggest using mothers polish, it works very good. For the direction I went, I went from front to back. I also polished the body rail, and the regulator, and the bolt, and the trigger

        Yeah, Mother's works great. I have a bunch for polishing the exhast tips on my Dub. I think once I get past that stage I am going to put a couple coats of carnuba wax like Facts suggested. I'll try to get picks up as soon as I'm done. Appreciate the help guys.
