Yeah why would it help you? I mean come on (here I go) is everyone completely fooled by the Cocker Myth? First of all 4-ways leak all the time (yes it is a four-way) and they are poopy mechanisms. If you take an excellent gun like an Automag and put Cocker pnuematics on it, you are honestly just going to make it worse. First of all timing is a huge issue, 2nd, dont fix something that isnt broken or you might just break it (and I have done this myself, not to my gun though because I know better). The only reason people first decided to put Cocker pnuematics on a Automag was that one Automag owner saw all his friends with Cockers and decided to throw Cocker pnuematics on his gun to make it like his buddies. And I'm sure the Cocker Myth and all his friends saying Automags suck had a lot to do with this; its the bandwagon appeal.

One last thing...Cocker triggers ARE slower than a Mag stock, so what you are doing is slowing down your trigger. There's nothing wrong with trying I guess but common sense would tell me it would be a slower trigger.

If you ask me its like down grading your gun!
They say that practice makes perfect, but nobody's perfect so why even practice at all?

uber-smooth trigger. It's supposed to be ultra fast, & very short pull.

Punisher makes them. And no it isn't a downgrade, it's just smething unique.

OK, cocker triggers are not slower than Mag stock, in fact they are about the same. And you don't need to time the Automacker, because there is no sear/hammer interface to time (This is what you time on a cocker). Good 4-ways don't leak either, sounds like some people use too many ANS parts.

OK I said that they were slower just because I can fire faster on my Mag, but thats because I havent learned a Cocker trigger yet. My bad there.

I'm just curious though how it would be possible for the trigger to be very short, because that should technically do damage to the bolt and sear.

Simple, the Automacker trigger activates the 4-way, not the sear. So if you have a short throw 4-way, you can have a 1-2mm pull (no worries about timing, as it doesn't activate the sear). The sear is activated by the ram, who's throw is dictated by design, & the time the 4-way is activated.

I think I remember seeing that it made it harder to short stroke too.

i had this all priced out for my mag

apparently, the 4 way actuates a reg. that actuates a solonoid that works the on/off .. and because the only friction on the trigger is the rod that actuates the 4 way, with a BOMB 4 way, you can get a 1 - 1.5 mm trigger pull ... and punisher customs said the solonoid will last years upon years w/o any maintenance...

.. this is if memory serves...

the whole mod would require about 400 USD to complete

~best checked with Punisher customs who is only an email away~

                      It's a Ram, not a solenoid.

Punisher charges $400 or so for the base conversion, more if you want any other toys.
