Why does my Flatline Serial begin with XFL?

All other flatline serials I've seen are simply FL. I've got a 68ci 4500. I got it about 3 months ago from dropzonepaintball.

all of the 4.5k flatlines are labeled XFL_______ for eXperimental FlatLine, i think they just forgot to change the serials when they went to production.

Maybe the X is there to differentiate between the 3k and the 4.5k Flatlines?

XFL meant Xperimental Flatline, but they just kept it at XFL to differentiate between 3K and 4.5K systems.
