Help, on the Airgun website it says that emag batteries when fully charged last about 20,000 shots. I am lucky if i can shoot a full case of paint. I do have an early edition emag though, could that be the problem? it was only the 200th made, have there been changes to the battery since then?

Don't trust the charge indicator. Drain you batt and leave it on the charger overnight. Likely you've aquired a bit of battery memory, due to paying attention to the charge indicator (Which has never, and never will work)2k2 VF Cocker, STO/Eclipse Blade, Old-Style 14" Boomstick,

I thought that emag batteries were Nickel-Metal Hydride.... and that they dont get "memeories". I could be wrong though.-Gig 'Em Ags!

Nickel-Metal Hydride batteries will get memory if not completely discharged before charged. They are better than NiCads, but not as good as Lithium.
If you are experiencing problems with longevity of your battery charge, try a deep cycle discharge and charge. Totally drain the battery by connecting a resistor across the two leads and let it sit until there is no life left in the cells. Then do a full uninterupted charge. Once fully charged, drain them again using the load resistor across the battery. Do this several times. The next time you fully charge the battery, it will have much more capacity.
Also, check your charger to make sure you are getting the proper charge. The charger may be shutting off at a lower voltage level before the battery is fully charged.Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.

For the most part NiMH cells have very little memory.
Almost all the documentation I have seen has stated this. You should have no problem giving the batt's partial charges.Did you hear about the new european weapons contracts? France is going to make the wooden sticks Spain making the little white flags

That is what I have read also. However, my experence is that NiMH batteries DO build memory. The cell phone ones were the worst, the laptop ones not so much so. Just my experence. Your mileage may vary.Originally posted by Butterfingers

It is very possible that you just need a new battery.
They do wear out. I sent my emag in when I got it in used non-working condition, and they said the battery was what was wrong with it.
The tech said it is a common problem on older emags...my serial # is in the 400'sJesus Saves....and it don't cost you a dime! Accept Him and you will be saved.
