    Lvl 10 Upgrade problems!

I'm trying to do the upgrade, get the new tip on, and this is as far as I can tighten it. I don't want to try too hard because it's already as far as I can by hand. And I took out the two shims. I couldn't even get it to thread with the shims in there. What gives?

RTPro, this is the stock valve..

Have you taken something such as a pen cap and pushed the carrier all the way down?
That would be all I can think of to cause this.

      yah my bad..stupid n00b problem

It's called the Power-tube spacer, remove it lol

I took it out at first, then put it back in for some silly reason heh.

Works great, already tried the finger trick, that'll get em at the field

But the dollar trick doesn't work. It shoots right through it. Input pressure on the tank is about 600-700, just enough to fire and barely enough to retro.

2 shims, standard spring (long one and cut one were too hard, wouldn't fire even at 1000psi input)...I havn't tested the velocity yet, probably won't 'till next time we play, or if I decide to take a ride to the park.

Great mod Tom! Whoever thought this one up gets a pat on the back from me!

the standard main spring doesnt put enough pressure on the bolt to slow it down enough to not pop a ball(on softer paint), use the cut spring, dont raise your input, raise the velocity till it fires.

it will pinch, but it it could also chop on softer paint. It's just not as soft as with the other springs

ahhh okay.. I see havoc..so I should leave my input around 600-700 like I usually play with? Just adjust the velocity at the back of the valve and try the cut spring? I'll do that when I get home

              Thanks for the info!

With the lvl 10 you need 800 psi input now.

AGD, where we are so good we can do it with only ONE tube!

You are going to be shocked at how far you have to turn the velosity up. Just keep turning and you'll get there eventualy.
