    upgrade 68 automag powerfeed

I just purchased a 2000 68 automag powerfeed marker and I have some questions about upgrades. First it came with a shochtech 8 reg for co2 is that any good? and what does it do? I want to upgrade this gun to an air system. Which is the best n2 ca or hpa? Can one tank do all three,(not simultanoiusly obviously). Asls I have an old Bud Orr sniper I mean an original I want to upgrade that as well. any recommendation?

shochtech regs dont do any better for the gun, just leave it stock. the best upgrade you can do to your mag is to get a nitro tank. N2 is a tank that holds 4500 psi instead of 3000 (great to get if you can afford it) CA is the same thing as nitro(as far as paintball tanks are concerned), after that, get a level 10 mod for your gun then take it from there.

N2 and HPA are considered the same thing, which is compressed air either at 3000psi or 4500psi. CA (constant air) is an old term used when CO2 first became available in tanks rather than 12 grams.

Compressed air tanks can hold CO2, but CO2 tanks can't hold compressed air. Don't use CO2 in compressed air tanks though. The CO2 causes rapid expansion and contraction of the tanks which can lead to delamination of the fibre rap over time. This will eventually led to your tank not passing future hydro tests. Steel tanks are not affected by this phenomenon.

Check your availability of air and find the best size and pressure rating to fit your needs.

An 8 hole mod is not of any value over a stock valve back. Use stock whenever possible.

A level 10 upgrade is a new style bolt and power tube tip which lowers the pressure on the bolt. The lower pressure reduces the bolts ability to chop paintballs that get caught in the breach of the mag. This is considered one of the best upgrades in a mag today. I highly recommend it.

            Tank Pressure

I have one question. Why is it such a big deal to have a 4500 psi tank. Most of the fields that i have played at can't fill past 3000psi. I guess i just don't see the point of spending large amounts of money on something that you can't take full advantage of.

There is no advantage to a 4500psi tank if you can't get it filled.

Some places and especially tournaments, have 4500psi fill stations. The 4500psi tanks allow you to have a higher number of shots from a smaller tank. A smaller tank is usually lighter and easier to hide behind a speedball bunker.
