Drilling slits in standard feed MAG

I know that a power feed mag does shoot faster then a standard feed, but i can't really afford to put the rest of my cash into that. I was wondering if anyone has tried to cut slits into the standard feed mags? i know that the elbow does not go all the way down to the gun. I was thinking of cutting two slits (one on oppisit sides) of part of the standard feed to help let the gas out.

heres how i want to do it.

buy standard feed mag. cut a couple mm wide slits on opposing sides. hone inside of barrel. polish inside of barrel. then try to see if i just wasted cash or not(let hope not)

anyone have any feedback on this? Im only going to be shooting about 6bps tops.(my trigger finger is not that fast. and i don't need anymore then that for woods play)

this belongs in the main forum.

the powerfeed does not make a huge difference performance wise. the most noticeable difference is when you get down to the last few balls in your hopper. you can shoot 6 balls per second without a problem with the standard feed. your best bet is to just leave it. don't butcher your body.

Ether Main or Tech is the right place for this. Not Deep Blue.

Moving to Technical. The original in DB will be removed.

AGD, where we are so good we can do it with only ONE tube!

Agd makes a new bolt that greatly reduces blowback. Try looking into one of those.

those have been stock in Automags for more than a year already so i assume that his Mag already has one of em. I don't think PF is that much better than stnd feed because the stnd feed has a fairly long feed tube so more balls can be stacked on to one ready to be droped which results in faster feeding. But if you really want a PF, PTP makes PF adatpers for your stnd feed.

i don't own a mag yet. i want to purchase one soon and wanted to know anyway of getting around paying 100 more for powerfeed. i don't shoot fast so i didn't think i really needed it. then someone told me the best i will get for bps without choping is like 3 or 4 on the standard feed soooo i was wondering if this hypothiese of mine might work for like one more bps or two.

lol 3-4 bps with standard feed. i rip em off at 10 on the weekends w/ standard feed all the time. my friend shot a hyper rt standard feed body and had no problems at 12-13 bps.
