problem (i think) with regulator on Retro Valve

I am getting massive air leakage coming from the regulator once I turn the input preasure on my armageddon up past 500 PSI, before that I was getting air leakage down the barrel unlesss i was above 500 psi or holding the bolt down with a squeegee. As far as the old problem, it was tolerable because once I was up around 750 to 800 PSI the barrel leakage stopped and I could use the marker. Right now if I hold the trigger the leaking from the regulator stops and the other old problem of air leaking down the barrel before I hit 500 PSI is still there.
This is a automag with a retro valve but the rest of the marker (eclipse rail, z-body, dye grip frame) is aftermarket parts. When it was first built I had problems with tolerance between the grip frame, rail and body. Any suggestions? I am guessing that I have a bad seal somewhere in the regulator but I'm clueless about air leaking down the barrel.

turn your gas up to around 750-800. the retro valve needs a certain amount of pressure to work. you may also need to turn your velocity down if air is venting from the reg.

if you leak down the barrel, but it stops when you hold down the trigger, it is a seal problem in your powertube.

I had a problem similar to this too

But what I found was that I has the velocity turn WAY down. It was down to something like 80 fps. So I would try turning your velocity up first.
