After browsing through the posts regarding macro line, I understand that this stuff detiorates in sunlight. I have it on my gun now, but a few weeks ago I saw some kid bust a line and don't wish to go through that myself. Assuming this thing about sunlight is correct, does anyone forsee any problems coating the line in liquid vinyl?

Like the stuff they put on the hanldes of pliers? Why not. But to be honest the line will probably wear out in the fittings before that. I might be easier to just change the line every so often that coat it with something. If it is actual sunlight that does it you might just want to get spiral wrap like they use to protect and bundle wires. It would do the same thing without the mess.

Here is the deal
OK..This is the real deal. There is a lot of CHEAPO MACROLINE on the market today. All Macroline is NOT the same. I only use Parker Parflex Macroline. It is softer and more flexible than most. It gets a better bite in the fittings. It doesnt blowout often. The BLACK line is the ONLY line on the market that has UV protection. The colored lines DO NOT have UV protection...not even the Parker colors. Get the good stuff...you know where to find it.

Sweet I got the good stuff! Donggie sent me a free one when I ordered a pack, 2 90's and 2 feet of black Parker ParFlex. Oh man that's pretty awesome.
Anyways, it's so true, there's alot of cheap stuff out there. At my last tournament a team members macro blue while sitting in the sun. It was real crappy black stuff. I can tell you one thing, my sandwich went about 15 feet in the air and into the trees when I heard that thing go off, it sounded like a cannon. Tunaman is right, do it right, get the good stuff.
Edit: Tunaman, when you said "You know where to find it". Do you mean that you can get it? If you can, give me a shout on my email, [email protected]
I'll PM..."If everything is under control your not moving fast enough."
