    Tank Hydrotesting

    Ok, i've got 2 questions
1)the date on my tank, is that when it needs to be tested or is that the date the tank was made.

2)Once on the forums i saw somebody link to sa site where you send in your tankand they inspect it, hydrotest it and all that stuff, what is that site?

    1) the date is when the tank was "made" add 3 or 5 years to that for the hydrotest date.

    2) here it is:

Try Tank testors (a division of Smart Parts)@ 800-992-2158
      I believe a 68ci 3000psi tank ran me about $20-$25

If you talk to you local fire department they might be able to tell you where you can get a fire extingisher hydro tested. If you take your tank to them, they might be willing to test it for you. I did a Smarts Parts 114 cui Tank this way and it cost me about $20 Cdn. Tthey had to make a new adapter for it, but never charged me. If you get a bunch of people from your local field to go to this place they might even cut you a deal. Hope this helps you out.

Or try a local scuba shop

Or try a local scuba shop, I found one that would sell me a scuba tank without any certs as long as I signed a waiver that said I would not be using it for anything other than paintball. I take my 114ci Apoc 3000psi system there for hydro, they send it out and I get it back in a few days. less than $20.
