I To ask a serious question so i dont mess up my bun toatly

I have a Boo-Yah ELCD Frame and i got it to work but the 9v batteries that i bought at the store last night wont work on it and the grip frame only came with a car charger and i dont think my mom will let me run her car for 14 hours on end so i was wondering since my cell phone and cdplayer chargers fit could i use one of the to charge my batteryy since it obviously has the oresice voltage to power the grip

    Thank You For Your Time

NO NO NO!!!! the charger for the car has a 100 ohm resistor in it.. if you want to put a 12v wall charger (check it with a meter 12V is often 14v = fried board) you need to install a 100 ohm resistor into the circuit.

OR call Mako and buy a wall charger.

Also. what i did was ,in parralelle , make a battery pack with 4 9.6v batteries. my ELCD on my mag has been runing for about 3 weeks same batteries.

          Hey MagNumPI,
How are you using the batt. pack you created for your ELCD??
          What does it look like??
Is it mounted on your gun or what??
I'm thinking of doing the same....
Got a pic for us to see how everything is connected on your 'Mag??
About each of the 9.6v batts.....
I thought rechargable batts are only 8.4v each...
          Thanks.

Just get a wall charger from the company you dont want to mess with a board, think about it, thats too much money to mess with over some $30 charger. Positive and negative, volts, all that stuff has to match exactly and chances are that they dont so think about the charger.

lillfro, dont take this the wrong way, but it doesnt sound like you know much about electronics.

OR call Mako and buy a wall charger
this is probably your safest and easiest bet. dont try to rig something together and end up burning your mom's house down. you could also try getting ahould of mako's tech support and see what they have to say. try radio shack or a batt. specialty store, take the batt. in with you and ask about a comparable batt. or charging system. good luck.

Holy freakin crap, do NOT take it to radio shack!!!! They are completely incompetent workers equivalent to the high-school drop out McDonald's workers. As my uncle (who probably knows a lot more about their products than they do) once put it, there motto should be "Radio Shack: We've got questions, you've got answers".
