    Leaking down the barrel

My automag is leaking down the barrel for some reason. I have tried everything i can think of to fix it but nothing works. I have tried... changing all the o-rings out of the gun, oiling the powertube o-ring, i put a .215 powertube spacer and then i tried sanding down the powertube spacer that i have (.220) and it worked for quite a while, but just recently it started agian and im not sure what to do. It started the first time when i put a DYE double trigger frame on it. I didnt think that the trigger would affect the powertube, but i guess it does.

        2 other ideas

one... does the trigger rod have a gap between the rod and the trigger itself?

2.. push on the bolt with a stick while it's gassed up. don't pull the trigger while doing this.. it'll hurt.

Ok, there is a ga between the trigger and the trigger rod, and when i push on the bolt, it doesnt be move or do anything.

              stick down barrell?

dont do that. Unscrew the rod behind the trigger until there is no gap...if it is loose and turns easely after that use some loctite/teflon tape to keep it from screwing itself back in (you'll have to take the gripframe off and pull it out). I've never heard of ramming a stick down your barrell making little scratches in it and tearing the foamie off your bolt but that is not a bright idea. if you dont have the manual/diagrams go to www.airgun.com and print one off if you need to see what i'm talking about.

                1 other thing

also what kind of gas are you using? If your using CO2 you might be freezing 1 or more o-ring(s) that is not getting a good enough seal. My friend's would spew frozen white CO2 out his every other shot until he let the gun warm up degassed. if your using nitro check all your o-rings which i'm assuming you probably already did.

I should have been a little more descriptive. Take your squeegee and push on the bolt while it's gassed up (with barrel off)this will reset the bolt. If the the leak stops then it is a problem with either the sear, bolt, or with the bolt spring.

.do not remove the gap between the trigger rod and the trigger . That will cause shootdown and other issues. It sounds like a powertube spacer issue. If the gun still fires but leaks when its not firing you need a shorter spacer. If it doesn't reset correctly when you fire you need a longer spacer. I'd get a complete set and try 'em until you find one that works. (I have had to make a few .210 and .205 spacers for a couple of mags).

Which bolt are you useing? If it is an ANS bolt, try putting the AGD bolt in. My ANS bolt leaked down the barrel, I tried the PTspacers and it only worked temporarily. I put the factory bolt in and no more problems with leaks.

In response to the bolt question...

The stock bolt is what i am using right now, but i have not got a chance to try any other PT spacers, so i will try that.
