    What Level is My mag?

With Pigsweat's help I recently built a mag from scratch, just a bunch of old parts i had found laying about my distributors wearhouse. im basicaly bulding it up like a car enthusiest builds his own clasic car from the wheels up. but since im fairly new to mags i have a question on the age/level of my valve

Is there any place i can go on the net, any thread here on AO that shows me pictures and details about the history of the automag levels? I would like to learn as much as possible. But less importantly, my sin # on my valve is: CF10207, the power tube seperates form the rest of the valve and it has a 6 hole mod in the back.

SO is there anyplace anyone knows i can go to that has like the history of the valves? it would be great, thanx.

Here's a pic er.. scan of the mag i made.

this scan dosent do it justice considdering i built it from random parts. well, atleast the valve had matching numbers.

Is there any difference between an early lvl 7 and the later lvl 7 after the tip becomes unremoveable? I have a minimag (mm0201*) I dunno if it's lvl 6 or whatever. But I haven't had any problems with it. (It's also got an old magic box on it too =P)

Minimag valve serial numbers I think are all MM*****. What does it say on the side of your valve? It should say minimag if it is actually a minimag valve.
Sorry about the 2 posts, replied to one before I got to the other.

What would be interesting is if someone had a level 10 on a level 6. What would that make it, a level 8? :) Heh. The level 10 upgrade doesn't include teh changes from level 6 to level 7. I have to get my hands on a level 6 and do that. I brag about how I have the only level 8 mag in existance :)

I think Pigsweat's mag is a "Level 8" mag, im quite sure he has a lvl 6 mag, and i know for sure he has the lvl 10.

but dose anyone know where i can find a database for the history of mags?

i bought the gun used and the side of it says, 68 automag, but it came with everything that a minimag should have, the verticle asa, the grips etc,... and the person i did the deal with was really nice and sent the gun first so i could make sure it worked then i sent the money.

I hightly doubt he has a level 6. In the manual it tells you what serial numbers level 7's started at. 10000 seems too high for a level 7.
