Could it be the regulator Piston?

I don't know what it is about my gun but it is really a gas hog. I got it used and put my ACI Bulldog II 68/4500 tank on it and noticed it really eats up gas quickly.

When I got level 10 - i had to turn up the velocity so much that it started leaking out the back...so I ordered a new reg piston, but will this fix the gas hog problem as well?

But that wouldn't make my gun a gas hot now would it? How many shots should I get outta my setup with at 68/4500?

What's a gas hog in terms of shots? Something wierd happened to my minimag after putting level 10 in... I used to only get 1,000 shots outta my 88/4500 - Now I get 1,400 out of my smaller 68/4500. This makes no sense at all!!

Your barrel and paint will make a differance in the gas efficancy.

The more porting your barrel has, the less efficient it will be. You can lose about 300 shots by using a heavily ported barrel like a DYE in comparison to a minimal ported barrel like the AGD RT/E-Mag barrel. Also, check the paint fit to the barrel. If it's too loose or too tight, you'll lose efficiency.

Well - i'm using a Smart Parts Progressive barrel. I just watch my gauge and watch it drop quickly from 4000 to 1500 like that. I'll keep a count of how many balls i put through my gun next game (i'm on vacation now so no paintball til the 31st of this month! its killing me!)

SP's have lots of porting... And if your using a small paint. There ya go.
