IDEA??? USING A 12v VL2000 Xboard in WARPFEED???

Had a brainstorm dont know if it would work. For alot of people the vibration sensor in the warp is useless. People are modifying their warps to 12volts and also to the intelliframe. anyways.

Is it possible to retrofit the x board circuit [ I have a spare laying around ] and remove the warpfeed circiut and just hook up the wiring to the motor.

Technically the motor would be getting 12v but the motor on the warp is larger (current draw larger) than the servo used for the vl.

The other benifit of using the xboard would be having an electronic eye and an on/off switch instead of a vibration sensor that would sense that balls are missing and would spin until a ball is sensed.

If the sensor is not to be use and a trigger acutated switch as in the intelliframe would substitue and the sensor could be removed from the circuit.

I would like to hear from any electronic techs on what effects besides faster drain from batteries that I might run into if I switch the boards

Umm. The vib sensor is not useless, people rig up intellifeeds because they are cool, and its just nice to have it there. Very rarley is it actually needed. Where are you going to put the eye? It would need to be in the breach, or atleast in the PT. Gravity will make the balls go down the hose, hence there can be a gap at the top of the hose, yet the eye still sees the balls at the bottom. There is nothing wrong with the vib sensor leave it at that

I dont know about the whole technical thing, but that would slow down the speed of the warp.
The whole idea with the vibration or intelliwarp setup is that whenever you shoot(or pull the trigger) it atleast attempts to feed another ball, With the eye your having to wait for a gap.

Actually now that i think about it, what i just said may not apply, but its just wouldn't work right. The fact that it has to wait for a gap in the revy loading it means when its trying to feed balls into the marker it wont be full...

        got everything pulled apart now

The vibe sensor was not the major issue just to let you all know. The reason primarly that I was going to use the x board is due to it being a 12v system. It fits nicely in the warp battery compart. and has an on / off switch that also has low bat. The problem im running into is seeing what leads actually have 12v in them and what wires I can delete. Basically I will keep my vibe sensor have the warp hooked to the intelliframe, and want 12v like I said the xboard and the battery connectors fit excellent

Your going to need to put the eye at the top of the hose, or in the PT and run a wire... This requires drilling holes in your PT, and comming up with some way to hold the eye. If you put the eye on the hose, it may weaken it enough that it could rip.
