start out with coarse steel wool and progressivly work you way up, you could prolly use sandpaper too but because i havent tried it i cant recomend it.....to finish it off try some polishing compound like mother and mags ro something word of warning it will take you quite awhile to get the desired results

A bench grinder with wire wheels of varying thickness/strength, buffing wheels and chromium oxide will work the best. Its one of the easiest and most effective ways to get your mag up to a high polish.

Hey guys. Long time Mag owner, new member. You can check www.harborfreight.com to find the buffer wheel, if you are having trouble locating one. You can use the softer wire wheels, or maybe a sandpaper wheel (600 grit or finer) to remove the powdercoating. Then go to the felt wheel with red (the coarser) jewelers rouge to remove any sanding marks and then white (pure polish) rouge to get that great shine.

                          sandpaper

I had a friend who polished his mag, its really easy and it looks pretty good.

The best way to do it is to get different grades of sandpaper. Start out using the dense one then drop a grade till you get to a really fine grade. The fine grade should be the last that you use.
Then get some silver polish , and rub some in slowly, but only use a little bit.
That is the best and cheapest way to do it
