Will Pre-Set tanks work with the ReTro?

I went out and bought two tanks (Pre-set) as soon as I got my 'mag (I'm new to mags but learning quick) One is a Crossfire set at 800psi and the other is an Air America also set at 800psi. I am planing on getting a ReTro valve in the very near future and I heard that I would not get the full benefits of the Retro action because my tanks did not provide enough pressure output. Is this true? and if so What pressure IS recommended? Thanks for your guys time and effort on this.

Well the reactiveness of the trigger is controlled through the input pressure of the tank, with a retro valve. The higher the input presure the more rective the trigger. With a preset you can't alter the reactiveness. But it may also be perfect for you. I would try it with the tanks you have and if it's too reacive or not enough I would worry about getting a new tank then.

A preset is quite alright for a retro valve. You just don't have the adjustability for your reactive trigger.
Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.

It will still be reactive but you won't be able to fine tune it.

          800psi will be just fine.
